The O-temp Thermostat when working correctly, will shut the unit off if it becomes too hot. If the Overtemp thermostat is malfunctioning, the Overtemp Thermostat will pop out when turning on, or when starting to heat causing the unit to fail when heating.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"woocommerce-product-details__short-description\">\n<h4>We ALWAYS recommend changing the <a href=\"https:\/\/chattmed.com\/shop\/product\/hydrocollator-heating-element\/\">Heating Element(10630)<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/chattmed.com\/shop\/product\/10631-thermostat-for-hydrocollator-e-1-e-2-ss-2-m-2\/\">thermostat (10631)<\/a> as well, due to the fact that you have to remove the heating element and thermostat to remove the o-temp switch.
