Chattanooga Fluidotherapy Double Extremity – FLU115D

The Fluidotherapy Double Extremity unit, Chattanooga item FLU115D, is a professional dry heat therapy system designed to treat both upper or lower extremities while combining heat, massage, sensory stimulation, and gentle exercise.

Unlike a traditional whirlpool or paraffin bath, Fluidotherapy uses heated air and fine natural cellulose particles called Cellex® media. These particles circulate around the treated extremity and create a dry, fluid-like environment that provides warmth while allowing the patient to move comfortably during treatment.

The Fluidotherapy Double Extremity system provides dry heat through forced convection. Heated air circulates the Cellex particles around the patient’s extremity, creating a gentle massaging sensation against the skin.

Designed for Two Extremities

The Fluidotherapy double extremity is built for double-extremity treatment, making it a practical option for rehabilitation clinics, hand therapy practices, physical therapy departments, occupational therapy facilities, and other professional healthcare settings.

The unit can be used to treat areas such as:

Hands
Wrists
Forearms
Feet
Ankles
Lower legs

The fluidized Cellex media supports the extremity and creates a buoyant effect that can make movement more comfortable during treatment.

Key Features

Treats two extremities
Dry heat therapy
Adjustable temperature
Adjustable air speed
Continuous and pulsed treatment modes
Gentle massage effect from circulating Cellex particles
Allows movement and exercise during treatment
Provides sensory stimulation
Large professional clinical design
Includes 30 lb. of Cellex media
Designed for rehabilitation and therapy facilities

Treatment time can be set from 1 to 99 minutes or operated continuously.

Air speed can be adjusted from 0% to 100% in 5% increments, giving clinicians control over the intensity of particle circulation.

Adjustable Treatment Settings

Clinicians can customize treatments using adjustable time, temperature, and air speed settings.

Fluidotherapy Double Extremity offers both continuous and pulsed operation, allowing the provider to select the treatment style appropriate for the patient.

Temperature Range

The operating temperature ranges from approximately:

88°F to 125°F (31°C to 52°C)

Chattanooga lists optimal performance at approximately 115°F to 118°F with 50% air speed.

Actual temperature performance can vary depending on the selected airflow and treatment settings.

Includes Cellex Dry Heat Media

Each FLU115D unit includes approximately 30 pounds of Cellex Dry Heat Media.

Cellex is made from natural cellulose and is specifically designed for use in Chattanooga Fluidotherapy equipment. When fluidized by the internal airflow system, the media behaves similarly to a low-viscosity fluid, helping support the extremity while allowing movement during treatment.

Replacement Cellex media is available separately when needed.

The Fluidotherapy Double Extremity unit is a versatile option for clinics that want dry heat therapy with the added benefits of massage, sensory stimulation, and movement during treatment. Its adjustable settings, double-extremity capacity, and professional construction make the FLU115D well suited for busy rehabilitation and therapy environments.
