Description
Fluidotherapy Single Extremity – Chattanooga FLU110D
Fluidotherapy Single Extremity Unit
The Fluidotherapy Single Extremity unit is a professional dry heat therapy system designed for treatment of the hand, wrist, elbow, foot, and ankle. It combines controlled dry heat with massage and sensory stimulation while allowing the patient to move the treated extremity during therapy.
Instead of water or paraffin, the FLU110D uses heated air to circulate Cellex® natural cellulose particles around the extremity. The particles create a fluid-like environment that provides warmth and a gentle massaging sensation while supporting movement.

Designed for Hands, Arms, Feet and Ankles
The single-extremity design makes the FLU110D ideal for clinics that regularly treat:
- Hands
- Wrists
- Forearms
- Elbows
- Feet
- Ankles
The open treatment chamber allows patients to perform gentle exercises and range-of-motion activities while the extremity remains surrounded by heated Cellex media.
Adjustable Dry Heat Therapy
Clinicians can adjust the treatment temperature, treatment time, and air speed according to the needs of the patient.
Airflow can be adjusted from 0% to 100% in 5% increments, allowing the clinician to control how vigorously the Cellex particles circulate. The unit also provides continuous and pulsed operating modes for additional treatment flexibility.
The operating temperature ranges from approximately 88°F to 125°F, with Chattanooga listing optimal performance at approximately 115°F to 118°F with 50% airflow.
Dry Heat, Massage and Sensory Stimulation
The Fluidotherapy Single Extremity system combines several treatment effects in one unit.
The circulating Cellex media creates gentle contact with the skin while heated air provides dry warmth. Chattanooga describes the system as supporting localized circulation, pain relief, sensory stimulation, and improved joint range of motion.
Because the media behaves similarly to a low-viscosity fluid, the treated limb can remain partially supported while the patient performs controlled movement or resistive exercise.
Includes Cellex Dry Heat Media
Each FLU110D includes 30 pounds of Cellex Dry Heat Media. Cellex is made from natural cellulose and is specifically designed for Chattanooga Fluidotherapy systems.
Using the correct media is important for maintaining proper airflow, heating, and operation of the unit.
