Chattanooga Intelect 77717 Portable NMES Unit

The Chattanooga Intelect 77717 Portable NMES Unit is a compact digital electrotherapy device designed to provide neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) in clinical and rehabilitation settings. Its portable, battery-powered design allows treatment to continue without requiring a stationary electrotherapy system.

The Intelect NMES Digital is designed for applications including the prevention of disuse muscle atrophy, muscle re-education, increasing range of motion, and increasing local circulation. Two independent channels provide flexible electrode placement and allow clinicians to configure stimulation according to the patient’s treatment plan.

Dual-Channel Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation

The 77717 features two isolated stimulation channels with independently adjustable output. Treatment parameters can be customized using convenient digital controls and an easy-to-read LCD display.

The unit provides three stimulation modes:

Synchronous – coordinates stimulation through both channels.

Constant – provides continuous stimulation according to the selected parameters.

Alternate – alternates stimulation between channels.

Pulse amplitude, pulse frequency, pulse width, contraction and relaxation times, and treatment time can be adjusted for individual treatment requirements. Chattanooga specifies an adjustable pulse frequency of 2–120 Hz, pulse width of 50–300 μs, and output of up to 80 mA per channel at a 500-ohm load.

Compact Portable NMES Therapy

Measuring approximately 1.2″ × 2.3″ × 4″ and weighing approximately 4.4 oz, the Intelect 77717 is small enough to transport easily between treatment areas or for clinician-directed use outside a traditional therapy department.

Because the unit operates from a 9-volt battery, treatment does not require connection to a wall outlet.
