New, improved carbon electrodes are composed of bio-compatible, medical grade silicon for improve flexibility and the elimination of the previous electrode’s odor caused by out-gassing of butyl rubber.
The new electrodes have the same conductive area and surface resistance as the previous electrodes; however, the thinner backing material allows for greater conformity and skin contact, permitting smoother energy transfer to the patient.
We recommend putting ultrasound gel on the skin, before applying.
