Vectra Genisys Only:
Continuous Mode – The output of the light is not interrupted during the treatment time.
Dosage – A measure of the intensity of the energy over the treatment area. The unit of measure is Joules or Joules/cm2
Frequency – Pulsed frequencies are selectable from 8 to 10,000 Hz.
laser Heads – The clear lens face of the applicator that contacts the patient’s skin. It consists of laser diodes with or without LED’s or SLD’s (depending on the applicator).
Power – Measured in Watts (W), power wattage is directly proportional to the treatment time and penetration of the light energy.
Power Density – Ratio of power divided by treatment time.
NOTE: Pulsed Mode is also equivalent to Duty Cycle.
Spot Size – Area of the LED, SLD, or other beam when it leaves the face of the lens.
Treatment Time – Measured in seconds, it is the suggested time per point that therapy is given.
