Replacement Overtemp Thermostat AKA Overtemp Switch for Hydrocollator models: E-1, E-2, SS-2, M-2, M-4
The Hydrocollator Overtemp Thermostat can become worn and prone to breakage, has no current or just isn’t allowing the unit to heat properly.
Hydrocollators will have trouble turning on and heating, when needing a new Overtemp Switch. The Overtemp Thermostat when working correctly, will shut the unit off if it becomes too hot. If the Overtemp Thermostat is malfunctioning, the Overtemp Thermostat will pop out when turning on, or when starting to heat causing the unit to fail when heating.
We ALWAYS recommend changing the Heating Element (10630), and thermostat (10631) as well, due to the fact that you have to remove the heating element and thermostat to remove the Overtemp Switch. (They can go out around the same, time and you already have to remove them.)
