Intelect Legend Channel 3 & 4 Lead Wire – Chattanooga 12214
The Intelect Legend Channel 3 & 4 Lead Wire, Chattanooga Item Code 12214, is a replacement patient lead assembly designed for Channels 3 and 4 on compatible four-channel Chattanooga Intelect Legend electrotherapy systems.
The lead assembly connects the electrotherapy outputs of the Intelect Legend to the patient electrodes used during electrical stimulation treatments.
Chattanooga 12214 is specifically intended for the additional Channel 3 and Channel 4 outputs found on compatible 4-channel Intelect Legend units.
Chattanooga 12214 – Channels 3 & 4
The original Chattanooga Intelect Legend uses separate lead assemblies for its electrotherapy channels:
- 12213 – Channels 1 & 2 Lead Wire
- 12214 – Channels 3 & 4 Lead Wire
P/N 12214 is specifically intended for Channels 3 and 4.
Because Channels 3 and 4 are only available on compatible four-channel configurations, this lead assembly is not required for a standard two-channel Intelect Legend.
Compatible Intelect Legend Models
The Intelect Legend Channel 3 & 4 Lead Wire is designed for compatible older Intelect Legend systems, including:
- 7550
- 7560
- INT002
- INTCB
- SOME LV-110 AND LV-120 (Without the headphone jack type lead) Just verify the pins before purchasing.
- SOME FORTE UNITS
Compatibility depends on the configuration and connector style of the therapy unit.
P/N 12214 may also fit certain older Chattanooga therapy systems that use the same 4-pin DIN connection, including select older Forte and LV-series equipment.
Because Chattanooga produced several generations of therapy equipment with different lead-wire connections, always verify the unit model and connector before ordering.
120-Inch Lead Assembly
The Chattanooga 12214 lead assembly measures approximately:
120 inches / 10 feet
The extended length provides the clinician with flexibility when positioning electrodes and the patient relative to the therapy unit.
The lead assembly incorporates the connections required for both Channel 3 and Channel 4.
4-Pin DIN Connection
The 12214 Intelect Legend Lead Wire uses the older 4-pin DIN male connector found on compatible original Intelect Legend therapy systems.
This connector style is an important way to distinguish the original Legend lead wires from those used on later Chattanooga therapy systems.
If the connector on your existing therapy unit does not match the 4-pin DIN-style connection, verify compatibility before ordering.
NOT for Intelect Legend XT or Legend 2 (new)
Although the names are similar, the original Intelect Legend and Intelect Legend XT use completely different patient lead wires.

The Chattanooga Intelect Legend 2 is also a different generation of electrotherapy equipment and uses a different lead-wire system.
P/N 12214 is intended for the older original Intelect Legend Series and is not a replacement lead wire for the newer Intelect Legend 2.
What Does the Intelect Legend Lead Wire Do?
The Intelect Legend Channel 3 & 4 Lead Wire carries electrical stimulation from the therapy unit to the patient electrodes.
During an electrotherapy treatment, the Intelect Legend generates the selected electrical stimulation waveform. The lead assembly provides the electrical connection between Channels 3 and 4 of the unit and the electrodes placed on the patient.
A damaged or worn lead wire can interfere with this connection and cause inconsistent electrotherapy output.
Signs the 12214 Lead Wire May Need Replacement
Consider inspecting or replacing the lead assembly if you experience:
- Intermittent stimulation on Channel 3 or Channel 4
- Channel 3 or 4 losing output during treatment
- Stimulation changing when the cable is moved
- Visible cuts, cracks, or deterioration
- Loose or damaged patient connections
- Damaged 4-pin DIN connector
- Lead-wire or electrode connection errors
- One pair of channels functioning while the other does not
Because many original Intelect Legend systems have been in service for years, patient lead wires can deteriorate from repeated bending, wrapping, pulling, and everyday clinical use.
A worn lead assembly can sometimes cause symptoms that appear to be a problem with the therapy unit itself.
